Recently, Huizhou Automobile Circulation Association held its 2017 Annual Conference & the First Meeting of the 4th Member Assembly. Representatives from 64 member units of the city's automobile sales industry and people from all walks of life attended the conference. The assembly elected a new president, vice presidents, chief supervisor and council members. With the unanimous vote of all members, Chen Xiaoka was re-elected President of the 4th Council of Huizhou Automobile Circulation Association.

# The Association Strives to Achieve the "Three Firsts"

Chen Xiaoka, President of Huizhou Automobile Circulation Association, stated at the conference that under the correct guidance of the municipal Party committee, municipal government and government departments at all levels, the association has kept pace with the times and grown from scratch and from weakness to strength over the years. It has continuously strengthened communication with government functional departments, wholeheartedly safeguarded the interests of its members, and made due contributions to promoting the harmonious and healthy development of the industry.

According to Chen Xiaoka, up to now, the association has attained the "Three Firsts": it is the first batch of social organizations eligible to undertake government function transfer and government purchased services; the first social organization to establish a primary Party committee of social organizations; and the first social organization rated as a Civilized Unit by Huizhou Civilization Office.

It was awarded the Advanced Organization Award by Guangdong Automobile Circulation Association for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015; rated as a 4A-level Social Organization by Huizhou Civil Affairs Bureau in 2014; awarded the Online Popularity Award by Guangdong Automobile Circulation Association in 2015; and honored as a Civilized Unit by Huizhou Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee in 2016, among other honors.

# Vehicle Ownership Expected to Exceed 1 Million by the End of This Year

It is reported that in recent years, many out-of-town automobile dealers have come to Huizhou for development. The number of automobile dealers (including luxury car dealers) in Huizhou was less than 100, and now exceeds 300, showing a rapid development momentum of the industry.

Statistics show that in 2015, the number of newly registered automobiles in Huizhou reached 196,333, an increase of about 131%; 54,914 second-hand automobiles were registered, an increase of 52%. In 2016, more than 248,000 new automobiles were registered in Huizhou, a year-on-year increase of 26.38%; more than 65,000 second-hand automobiles were transferred and registered, a year-on-year increase of 18.37%. Huizhou's automobile ownership was about 620,000 in 2015, nearly 870,000 by the end of 2016, and is expected to exceed 1 million by the end of 2017.

Chen Xiaoka said that the association will continue to actively explore business models suitable for Huizhou's automobile circulation industry, build a sound bridge between the government, the industry and merchants, guide the industry to develop in a healthy and orderly manner, and boost the further prosperity of Huizhou's automobile market.
